Description
Aren’t bees the cutest insects around? I know a lot of people jump out of their skin when there’s one near, but I always imagine them acting like this picture. Just happily bumbling around, collecting pollen and making honey in their own little world.

I wanted to paint something simple and cute, so when I heard the first bee of spring the other day I was inspired to do this. That, or all the work I’ve been doing on children’s games recently is sinking into me…

Although it’s a cartoon bee, I felt as though I’ve learnt a lot about them; they’re incredibly important insects. Also, did you know that bees have 5 eyes? Damn freaky.
