You will have to be more specific. The Shield was implemented as a tribute. This would have been a great loss for the Germans. The British and Norwegians fought very well and the Germans took quite a licking during the assaults. Britain transferred it's forces to focus on saving the BEF from France before France fell in May. This was probably the only reason the Germans were able to be successful in their occupation. Here is a link about the battle.
