I love your watercolors as well. They have a really unique, distinctive style. A real old-world charm to it.

Just lovely. Is that acrylic?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

3-hares In reply to brittlebaby [2010-11-22 16:10:44 +0000 UTC]

Nope. It's pen and ink with watercolour washes and a few touches of colour pencil.

Very cute. Again with the pen and watercolour love. And the yellow light and blue shadows really make this for me

Thanks.
I had a look at your site - nice work. I did the original U.S. cover of 'Nightmare Academy', but it didn't get used in the end. They said it was too frightening...

P0UL In reply to 3-hares [2010-05-26 08:37:26 +0000 UTC]

Oh, a pity for you, your pictures are simply first-class. Could I throw sometimes a look at the draught?
My cover was probably also a little bit too violent for the German market ! Why also always.
But the publisher liked it what pleased me very much.

Thanks for all the positive comments, everyone.
This was done in a Rackhamy style - pen and ink with watercolour washes (probably a couple of touches with a coloured pencil here and there as well...).
