tbh I don't remember exactly how I shaded the hair, but I was playing around with shapes and layer modes~ (I discovered the add glow layer mode xDD)

Hi there! I'm here with a critique of this picture for Critmas 2018- Let's go!
This picture is adorable, but it feels like there's too much blue. The different shades of blue contrast nicely together, but another colour would be a nice addition. The pink, white and gold get swallowed in the blue tones. Also, her lips and cheeks would look better with higher colour. Maybe a coral colour? I love the bunny rabbit; it's very cute! One other thing I noticed is that her stockings aren't equally high on both legs, which isn't hugely obvious, but would look better if they were even, since you can't even see one of them in the frame. However, I do love how you've set out the stars and constellations on her outfit, and I can see that working other colours in could be awkward due to this. If you don't, the picture will still be really good, but if you give it a shot, who knows? Either way, I wish I could draw like you!

using the same blue I also used for shading the hair in the background probably wasn't the best idea, I agree that the whole image looks too blue I guess it would look better with a different background
Thank you for the tip about working in different colors, I already tried this by working in a few pinks and lighter blues into her dress, but it's rather subtle and I pretty much only used colors that are found somewhere else in the design. But working in colours outside the color scheme sound very interesting too! I can't wait to try this out ^^

Having just finished my own drawing of snow Miku 17, I feel that I just have to comment on yours! Firstly, what a pretty drawing! I love the way you drew the little stars and galaxy patterns - they are very pretty and looks like you have stolen a piece of space to put into her clothes! The sparkly ambiance suit the entire piece very well to give off a very pretty feeling and make Miku look like a snow / star princess. The way you drew the snow flakes on her hair accessory is amazing as well - they are so perfect and neat that I have to wonder how you drew them. I love the way you do reflections as well. They really look very shiny and magical!
While her pose is great, I thought that her twintails look a little too symmetrical that it is a bit uncanny. They look a little like they were mirrored and then colored a little differently. It might be more natural if the hair fall in different ways on both sides. I also thought that her neck might be a bit on the long side, even though it is still anatomically correct (I'm not really sure about this one, feel free to experiment yourself!). She might look a little cuter if she had a shorter neck, maybe? There are also quite a number of differences between what she's wearing and the actual costume, but I will not go into that since I think that you're drawing your own version of the costume haha. I also think that the white stripes on her dress need to be a bit darker.
Anyway, amazing job and well done! I love your Miku drawings and I hope you continue drawing more of her!

Her twintails are actually mirrored and I can see how that makes it look to symmetrical....I'll draw them separately next time. Thank you also for telling me where to improve the anatomy! There always seems something new you can learn ^^
haha yeah I actually noticed I forgot some parts of the ribbons on her neck and hair, but the piece was already finished and since this is just a personal piece I didn't bother xD So it's probably more of a own version of the costume ^^ But since the 2017 design is my favourite, I'm sure I'll draw it again and I'll then make sure to make it more like the original one

This is way better than anything I could do! The only thing I might suggest is to make her thigh gap smaller her hips seem a little side for a thigh gap that big
And the background blends in a little and makes it a bit easy to over look details.
But I absolutely love this!!!

Excellent. Another extraordinary drawing!
And how could it not be? Miku's design is excellent. Anatomically it is very good. And seriously: The amount of details and lighting effects is as much as the constellations, the detailed in general that is the drawing, the cheerful rabbit and even his scarf is very BUT very detailed and bright, even the bows that tie the hair of Miku ... Delicate neat, clean and pure drawing, the expression that impregnates is incredible, the massive amount of parts of shading and lighting aiming at a single focus, in how it is colored and to top it off, it is a visual drawing of astronomical proportions
