This is just a show of improvement over the course of 10 months of consistent practice.
The skulls to the left in each view were the 1st attempts and the ones on the right were done 6 months later.
The 3 skeletons lined up were done 10 months from the first set of skulls.

Wonderful improvement!

Quick question-how do you measure proportions? I am familiar with using a pencil and eye scanning.

Also did you sketch out any underlying structure for these shapes? Or did you just draw straight to paper?

Haha, lots of questions. Thank you!

For all these studies? No, I just draw a box/rectangle or whatever it is I am drawing should fit into as a guide to keep it contained. Mark a few landmark measurement then I start light. Every bone has a landmark to guide you. Ribs are only so wide, start at certain vertebra and insert at certain spots. Studying the skeleton I now know where they all are and it makes it easier. As for the "general" ability to measure it all out I got and am still working on through Riven Phoenix's: The Structure of Man at www.alienthink.com/

Nice improvement indeed. Do you use references for your drawings?

Those skulls were out of Paul Richer's "Artistic Anatomy". I am using that in conjunction with Riven Phoenix's "The Structure of Man"

That 1st attempt was honestly the best I could do at the time and I though it was pretty good lol
