Description Rusinowa Polana, Tatry Wysokie / High Tatras, Poland, August 2013

All the photos from this trip will have titles connected with Pink Floyd's songs, as I've spent this week with my dad. He's the one who - thankfully! - taught me to listen to them, along with Queen, Deep Purple, The Beatles and some others of this kind. Thanks, dad!
This one's from "High hopes".

Amazing! One of my favourites as well, hard to choose the ultimate one. Coming Back to Life is also very good.

I love these ones too, I prefer fantasy and crime stories over "feminine literature", but sometimes one has to take a break well, I'll see how it is in a month

My mum loves Austen and Bronte sisters, we've watched a lot of movies based on their works and that's why I wanted to discover what they're like; also, I read them in original XIX-century English, which I consider a kind of input to my education But yeah, I've read everything by George Martin and almost everything by Tolkien, and a looot of other fantasy stuff

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

luka567 In reply to 3u3a [2013-09-01 15:12:25 +0000 UTC]

I see, well movies just aren't the same as books I suppose. Hard to show the depth of the novels. But nice nevertheless. Well, I can see that your English is very good so keep it up . Awesome, I've only read A Song of Ice and Fire by him. And also I have some Tolkien's work to read, about the history of Middle-Earth (although I have read the Silmarillion, an amazing piece of work.).

3u3a In reply to luka567 [2013-09-01 15:20:18 +0000 UTC]

You'd be surprised, there's a set of Austen's books filmed by BBC, and they're ridiculously accurate! Thanks, I'm trying my best!
And well, by "everything" I meant "A Song..." as well, as the other books and stories by him and not easily available in my country, I must have sounded like a huge and desperate fan, sorry to disappoint! But I haven't met many people who've read the whole series; they usually satisfy themselves with reading "Game of Thrones" and watching the TV series. I haven't read the Silmarillion yet, but "Hurin's Children" was a fantastic piece in my opinion!

Ah, well, that's great then ! Ah I see, well it is his most recognisable work. I have a lot of friends who have read it and we all cannot wait for the next book to come out, my first question is, what happens to Jon Snow and Stannis . Ah yes, the Children of Hurin, wonderful work! Read it as well.

3u3a In reply to luka567 [2013-09-01 16:58:04 +0000 UTC]

Lucky you then, I don't have any friends who've read the whole series, they just watch the TV show so we can't really talk about it much without me spoiling it and yeah, Jon Snow is the most interesting plot to come! I'm also curious about Cersei and Dany, both amazing in their own ways Well, I translated the title from Polish, it was not as elegant

Hehe indeed. We are quite geeky ones . Ah yes, that's a pity. Indeed, those two as well. I'm also very much interested in Davos. If he survives or not. He is one of my favourites and would hate for him to come this far only to die now. Ah and the chapter when Manderly 'condemns' him to die is such a masterpiece.. I was blown away by it. Hehe, in Slovenian the translation is the same so.. no problem .

3u3a In reply to luka567 [2013-09-01 18:43:25 +0000 UTC]

I love geeks! I'm not sure if I could be called a geek myself as I don't play computer games, but I don't if it's a required feature For me, being a maniac about books and TV series of some sort would do for a geek!
It is a wonderful chapter indeed, I was truly surprised by the plot, I couldn't believe it when he gave the order. It's such a pity Martin always takes so long to write another part, but it's no surprise, they are so long and carefully worked out.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

luka567 In reply to 3u3a [2013-09-01 19:05:46 +0000 UTC]

.. well I don't think it is a required feature - I hardly play games anymore . Ah yes, I totally agree with your definition. By the way, which TV series do/ did you watch and liek the best ?

Hehe indeed, I didn't believe it either. Even in the previous books as they said that they had him killed(Cersei says it if I recall correctly). I just knew it wasn't true.

Indeed, especially this part will be of key importance.. there are just so many plots, he is a master indeed!

3u3a In reply to luka567 [2013-09-01 19:20:07 +0000 UTC]

Oh, I've never played too much, to be honest, only when I was younger, and they were not too popular games My favourites are Sherlock and Doctor Who, and I also love Hannibal. I've also watched The L Word, convinced by my friend; it was nice, but not too interesting... To much feminine babbling and life-anylising.

Oh yes, I remember feeling the huge relief when he came back speaking in first person, haha! I don't believe they'll have him killed! But well... I didn't want to believe in Rob dying or my beloved Mormont sent away, and here they are!

He'll keep us in suspense for ages, he's a terrible man! But fortunately, the TV series' authors know the ending, so I believe we'll find it out one day, too

luka567 In reply to 3u3a [2013-09-03 13:37:34 +0000 UTC]

Hehe. Well I played a lot of strategic games like Command&Conquer, Age of Empires etc.. But lately I don't play games anymore. Just on some rare occasions. I love the two, Hannibal I haven't watched. I am also a big fan of Stargate Series . Hehe I see, I will keep away from that one

True, true, well if he dies, it will be after accomplising some great deed I hope.. like getting Rickon and Shaggydog back to where they belong. Indeed.. you can never know for sure with G.R.R. Martin.

Hehe I am sure he wants to finish it as soon as possible as well. But the scope of it .. True, but it's just not the same. I hope to read the entire series.

3u3a In reply to luka567 [2013-09-04 14:46:57 +0000 UTC]

Hm, I don't even know how to call the games I used to play, so see, I'm not a huge fan Hannibal is wonderful! For the first time in my life, I enjoyed being scared while watching anything on TV. It's great - the plots, the acting, the characters and the general atmosphere. I don't know the Stargate Series, though! Of course I also watched Game of Thrones and I keep up with How I Met Your Mother and The Big Bang Theory, but it's not as fanatic as my love for the first three that I've mentioned

Of, I'm sure he's capable of great things and we'll read about him for many more pages!

I think the same, he's surely aware of the emotions he's growing in people. I guess he'd prefer to stay out of trouble and finish the series himself!

Hehe I see.. hmm I don't know, sounds too scary .. But I can believe it's a nice series. I think you would like Stargate SG-1, it's about a team of explorers, they go to other worlds. Check it out!

Hehe TBBT is nice as well. Bazzinga!

Indeed, there are soooo many pages coming...
He will finish, I am sure of it !

Haha, it's just scary, not TOO scary I mean, the whole thing is just a complicated crime story, the post-production - I mean the effects, the music etc. - made it scary I could check it out, thanks!

Bazinga, it's my spot!

I can't wait! I guess at least half of the continent can't
