Description Freedom Wall, World War II Memorial, Washington D.C.

The Wall holds 4,048 gold stars, where each gold star represents 100 American service personnel who died or remain missing in the war.

"Here we mark the price of freedom"

I took this piece using an infrared converted Canon 40D (590nm) and a lensbaby composer pro with the sweet 35 optic.

That's a satisfying surprise - always interesting when something turns out differently than expected.

Yes! It often is in photography, but maybe that is just me. It's one half of the process just to take the shot, but another half of the process after the shot is taken.

I really like the way you composed and positioned the picture, it really emphasizes the weight of the memorial.

Yes, I agree! At first, I was wondering if it should be 'pointed downward', but I decided on a more 'upward' approach.

I'm glad you went with the upward approach, it worked really well.
