I've had this 1970s vintage pink chiffon dress for a little while now and have wanted to alter it so it'd be more flattering for someone my age (it has a bit of that mother-of-the-bride look going on)...so I've finally gotten it started. It had a peephole slit neckline at the front, which I intend to sew closed; I also plan to shorten the dress to make it reach just below the knees and to give it a bateau neckline (aka, boatneck). I want to attach some flowers or beadwork to the sash at the waist, just for a little something interesting to break up the pink.
