This sketch was inspired by the songs "Broken Girl", by Matthew West [link] , and "Sing Me a Love Song", by BarlowGirl [link] . I wanted not only to experiment with foreshortening and different facial angles, I also wanted to illustrate some of the meaning behind these great songs. I've been there, I've been a hurt and broken girl just as so many others before me, but with the love and help of my friends, family, and of my Savior Jesus, I was able to heal. There are still scars, and always will be, but I can move on with my life. For those of you who are still suffering, there is ALWAYS someone who cares- and wants to help you. Please, don't give up, whatever you do.
