DUDE I am all about black-white-red colorschemes they are the BOMB. I don't know her story, but you've really gone the extra mile illustrating it. Each panel is full of narrative juice and open to so much surreal interpretation. Playing with that vertical composition? too smart. Classy touch adding their titles to the side like that too.

Looking back on it I think I was subconsciously inspired by Disneyland's Haunted House? 
They're a fairly classy group of people (or class-less, it depends on the situation).

Wow, these are amazing! The tall compositions are very powerful - I think my favorite is the 2nd one from the right, framed with the vines - the perspective feels so cool. The closeups are awesome.

Thank ya! (the aspect ratio the printing place wanted as 1:4 so I drew with that in mind) Of course the thumbnailing system on dA is another story. ^_^;

Thanks~! I tried working in CMYK (for printing purposes) and the grays kept trending towards magenta on their own, which turned out to be a nice happy accident.

Like, for one thing I still like to draw Bruno with a stockier build, mostly because he's a dock worker and that one passage in Chapter 2 where Cliff was taken aback byΒ B's imposing figure. But, sometimes, he also looks good with a leaner build? Especially in your "flashback"Β drawings of him with Cat. Also there's the fact that he's beenΒ forgoing meals due to his current state of mind. But on the flipside, I like to contrast his size more when with Katla, since he's taken on a bit of a guardian role for her, and, ...yeah, I think a lot about this stuff. XD;;

Well, he is supposed to be a big guy (but Cliff is also a little twig compared to him, ha ha, sorry, Cliff).
It's possible he looked a bit different back when with Cat?Β Without Cat he probably spends a greater percentage of his time on work.
Of course some of this stuff relates to difficulty with drawing a big muscular guy on my end, though I never feel I have to worry about drawing the 'definitive' Bruno.
There's a lot to think about, I guess?Β Even leaner, he's still going to have a large size differential with Katla (Heh, I never see him as really having a guardian role toward her- Katla is surrounded by adults who probably never have taken more than partial responsibility for her...).

I guess there's a lot open to interpretation with how the characters should look. Sometimes it seems like the appeal of novels is the audience is allowed to interpret the characters & world however they want, at least until the movie adaptation, if even that. :0
...i just don't see Bruno being tall-yet-thin like Pete (even if i did like that Halloween dress-up from last year) XD;
