Oh I can imagine Mrs. Wheeler blaming Joey for turning Serenity into a hoodlum and Joey shouts back it's her fault Serenity is naive for confining her from the world, being over protective and not being tehre for her even during the operation and when Serenity takes her bandages off.

I remember a scene in the series where Serenity refused to see anyone at the hospital until Joey arrived. I think her mom was there.
I dunno I'd choose my words carefully and give her a chance not to appear bitchy. In reality I believe Joey would blame himself if Serenity was harmed. I really find this family dynamic so interesting!Β

She was and Serenity gets defiant.
Same here, the Wheeler family has so many issues that maybe Serenity;s eye disease and their dad's alcoholism weren't the only factor that led to the family's destruction. And if Mrs. Wheeler does say something horrible to Joey I think Serenity will snap, and I think Marik's vioent nature might rub off on her.

I know Joey's dad was alcoholic so that makes sense.
One clear danger of Serenity being with Marik is learning from him. She is impressionable and dependent.

Because her eye disease costed their family a lot of money and stress, and it didn't help thst their dad was a gambler so it would make sense Mr. Wheeler would hate Serenity for it.
And she is seeking independence now she is free from going blind and can start fresh. Joey did say she is teh brains so maybe she will outsmart Marik and beat him at his own game.

Yep, and people think her eye disease is either Congenital Glaucoma or Degeneration, while I think it's Retinoblastoma since fans have a theory while she was going blind she was also dying as well considering she was confided in the hospital a lot and stayed in the hospital after her surgery, yeah she suffered a lot.

Yep, when someone has surgery for glaucoma or Degeneration they can go home after teh surgery but Serenity still stayed at teh hospital after the operation so her eye disease must have been more serious than we thought other than going blind.
