Description Tahu, Toa Mata of Fire! Yes, I loved my Bionicles when I was a kid. I had all six of the first ones, and most of the second set; unfortunately, I had to sell them. By now it's impossible to recover them, so all I have left are memories.

This guy's part of a series I'm working on. I wanted to twist the Toa somewhat, depict them not as shining examples of good but as possible villains. I'm not sure I completely conveyed it here. The first Toa were unquestionably good, so I guess I should expect that it's hard to destroy that.

To me, Tahu represented valor. Here, he represents anger.

Ebay, it makes wonders! I got Tahu, Gali, and Onua, with all their posters, instructions, and canisters on ebay, all of which for about 35 bucks for all 3 ^^

Really? Whoa, that's dirt cheap compared to some of the prices I've seen.

Still, I feel like on some level I should just keep the memories and not go back to the actual objects. Having the toys again might change my value of the days I spent with them as a kid.

Also, I am in college and saving cash for a road trip, so even $35 is pricey.

Thanks! I was really going for that intense detail, I'm glad it came through.

much appreciation and respect but here comes some constructive criticism:

the scale on his legs seems a little off personally, but I focus on anatomy so intensely that really non-evident things bother me sometimes. Which kind of segways me into the position of his arm

I really love the re-envisioning though I miss playing with the old bionicle figures

interesting. this pose was definitely tricky for me, I tried to foreshorten the front leg but it got kind of messed up... I think the issue is his hips are a touch low and his front foot is too small.

thanks for the feedback, it really helps to get another person's perspective.

well, I really like the pose you chose because it makes him look like he could be surfing in lava plus, the way the flame is bursting to the sides contributes to that image

thanks! I based the pose more or less off of this; [link]

I'm glad that the fire works, I was a little worried it looked too abstract.
