Description Digital painting of Lara Croft - my entry for the Tomb Raider Reborn contest. I hope you like it - I had a blast painting it! It's completely painted! No photo manipulation was done or textures were used. Thanks dA and Sqare Enix for giving me a reason to push myself and my skills to a higher level!

To the judges: As demanded in the rules I could provide a version of this work with my signature removed ... if needed. I could also provide the original layered Photoshop file.

It's nearly a photo. Impressive work.

The only detail I see is the injure in his lip. I don't know what is exactly, but I feel there's something wrong there.

It's a wonderful painting

too bad you probably should have read the rules more clearly.. the artwork is intended for selling as prints, and it shouldn't resemble too much or just be a copy of already existing official renders. why would they sell a painting which was eyeballed from an official photo which had already been released worldwide?

i don't mean to burst your bubble, clearly a lot of effort and time went into this, it truly is beautiful... but if you're not discouraged you'd have time to make another entry. there'd be no point in opening an art contest where they tell you to push your creativity to another level and provide with an asset pack of Lara's personal characteristics to make you (us) portray her the way we see her.

Glad you like the painting itself. The rest ist kinda true, but i would have painted this anyways so submitting it to the contest is just the cherry on the cake for me - despite the chances of winning or not winning.

i do like it, really

sorry if i turned out to be some kind of smarty-pants when it's none of my business, but i felt the need to tell you to spare you the potential disappointment (i'm keeping track of this contest and i run a Tomb Raider group myself so i get a pretty good insight on most of the artworks submitted. many people submitted stuff that were completely against all rules so it's sometimes hard to keep my mouth shut).

Thanks A LOT. But to be honest I think the competition will be very hard (one month to go) and I'm
fortunate just to get the oportunity to show my work to a lot of people who follow this contest. There are some entrys already that fit the contest's requirement better than mine I guess...
