--- Oh my god, thank you very much, I never thought I would made it. ;_; I'm happy that some of my favorites made it under the top 25. If you want to see my personal winners, you can check out my latest journal. Congratulation to all who got selected. ----This is my entry for the Tomb Raider Reborn Contest
I worked really long on it and I hope everything looks fine, since absolutely no references/stockphotos were allowed for lara beside the asset pack. ^^'
For this artwork no textures, just brushes were used to create it.

Brushes from Natascha RΓΆΓΆsli (kyena) which she shared long ago (I love them so much ;__; ) and some various free brushes.
I'm very excited for the game as most participants so I was very happy when they announced this contest ^^
I really love this "selfmade" bow of Lara (which you can see in the trailers) so it was a must to draw it
Hehe, I wonder if such a selfmade bow really works that well, but it seems Lara is a true pro with it ;D

WOW! This is absolutely gorgeous! I agree with HeidiWilks - the contrast is amazing!

This is GORGEOUS! Love the contrast between the rain and the sunlight through the clouds, it underlines an utterly exhausted (though beautiful) Lara, having just vanquished Himiko - there's an odd sense of peace in this work that is in stark contrast to Lara's battered appearance, yet it works beautifully.Β Kudos on a master work!

Hmmm, blood across the nose, kinda makes me think of Hawke's blood smear from Dragon Age. Coincidence? Maybe. But meh, lovely rendition of Lara and her new signature weapon.

Scars across the nose almost always looks cool, I hope they let her keep her scars next game, y'know as souvenirs of the traumatic and scarring misadventures on a magical tropical, lost island.

It is one of my favorites and I really thought you could win this contest. ;__;
I wish they had a semifinalist list of 50 artworks. There are so many wonderful entries who didn't make it. IMO yours is a true winner piece semifinalist or not.

I'm sure there's a lot of illustrations that would figure in a top five, really great artists there, but they didn't figure even in the 25. But that's OK, we have to continue our work!

I'm liking your Tomb Raider artwork. Some of the other entries have some ridiculous posing and proportions of Laura (though their work is great too!). I think you've hit the nail on the head

Again, awesome entry..her face looks like hers as well, unlike some of the others where they just don't quite look like her.

I use Photoshop CS5 and a Wacom tablet. When I started this artwork I had a Graphire4 A5 but on my birthday (18th Feb) my boyfriend gave me the newest Tablet from Wacom. An Intuos 5 X333
You can download many brushes from here, but you have to check the license if you can use the brush for a commercial use (since this contest was commercial I tried to look for free brushes and I found such a great rain drop one 
If a Brush from a Stock-account isn't free I wouldn't use it. However you can ask friendly, the person who created it might say yes.
You can search for them here on dA, just type Photoshop Brush (if you work in PS) and click the right categorie (resources etc.)

That is eerily good! Scary, really, how good; lol. It's got a Hieronymus Bosch kind of feel and quality to it. Truly a masterpiece! The depth and expression on Lara's face, just wow! Not of this world, really.
O brave new world that has such talented people in it!
