As crystal dynamics announced the next game will be a reboot i was totally excited! i'm a huge fan!when i saw Lara's new design i really wanted to paint her but i just couldn't fit it in my schedule BUT luckily there's a contest! so i just found a reason to paint her!
i saw already all the gameplay and everything i could get my hands on but what i loved most was the scene when her leg is trapped in a bear trap and she has to shoot huge wolfs that jump on her from a bush.
i thought that specifically that scene showed the concept of surviving well. i took my interpretation from it, the colors, light, the wolfs but in my style- as realistic as possible and with tons of details!
when i was painting it my computer crashed and it was in the shop for a while so i was so hoping that i'll manage to finish this image on time and i miraculously did! i painted it for the LONGEST time it was very difficult, tons of details, she's super complex but i enjoyed it!
after the contest.. which i don't believe i'll win..

This is way better than second or third place!
Although I'm a big fan of anime/manga I think that second lacked a lot of originality.
And third was horrible! The anatomy was poo and I generally don't like it!

actually go through the submissions, you might be surprised. there are lots of different aspects of her.
yes they are similar because lara's world needs to be as close to the original but i don't think
they are the same.

actually, it's everything on your work, especially, I failed because of the felloe. It's like her (Katniss`) main weapon - when I'm seeing it, it's Katniss.

Nice! Not a Tomb Raider fan (never was, never will), but this looks pretty awesome! Love the rain effect and all the dead wolves around her, but I love the most is the look in her eyes. We know she's just a teen, but the look in her eyes tells us she's grown more than any normal teenager would and should. She's definitely a survivor

You're still a teenager if you're 18 or 19, which is the age most people put her in (or at least I put her in in this version of the series).
