Description
Both act as guardians of humanity, even when humanity no longer exists, and work to uphold that goal even when it’s seen as impossible. Both are subservients to a council that fronts itself as upholding the balance of the world, but has an inner corruption/dark secret most aren’t aware of. This involves them carrying the title of executioner due to their role/status of killing their own kind, but their killings haunt them. Despite their stoic personalities but drop their facade as their adventures progress or their closest friends/siblings are bad mouthed or in danger. Ultimately they're forced to leave the council they served due to extenuating factors, traveling without the power said council gave them. They eventually give their lives for the sake of the future and protection of others, but are ultimately reborn to stand alongside their closest allies. They Commonly wear a garment that hides part of their face (Death’s mask and 2B’s blindfold), only removing them in extreme circumstances. Over time they witness those they called allies and the world itself turn on them due to a virus/corruption infecting them. Despite being seen as disposable by their masters (shown with War in the first game), they end up killing the source of the corruption that plagues their world.
