Seriously tho I apologize for people who are not too fond of the kidnapping sort of things, I've been on sort of a spree recently

They say something horribly wrong is going on in the Dim Sun. But what if you've been living very far from there for a while, working for the local branch of your company at the other end of the galaxy, and you've just learned about any of it yesterday because it was on the local news? and your only reaction was to raise your eyebrows in surprise, then quickly finish your coffee and hop on your morning subway? It's unlikely that one would even think of connecting the dots if he gets abducted in the middle of the night, taken to an unknown location, and beaten up...

He was blindfolded for most of the time, but it must be some kind of a relief that one of the first things he sees after they take the bag off his head, is two smiling faces. It has to be in a way. His head hurts from the beating but he's quickly recovering his senses and realizing how absurd everything is. He's taken over by panic, convinced that these two are here to kill him.

"Hello", the taller one says. "I'm agent Smith and this is agent Wesson. Before we start explaining what's going on, you just need to calm down and not be scared of us. We are your friends!"

Agent Smith is talking slowly, in a soft, almost tender tone. It hits the prisoner, who was so far tensely prostrate in the attitude of a trapped prey, and starts sobbing uncontrollably.

"Oh come on, buddy!" agent Smith continues; he extends his arm across the table to gently tap on the prisoner's shoulder. The prisoner looks up. He can't see the eyes of the agents, hidden behind shades.

The agent's delicate paw moves under the prisoner's chin; the leather glove collects a drop of blood, which the agent examines with a frown.
"Goodness. They are such brutes..." Agent Smith points behind the prisoner. "Unfortunately, we have no control over them. They're waiting for you right outside this door, sir. Tss tss..." he waits. The prisoner tries to articulate something but it's muffled by the cloth in his mouth and he coughs blood instead. "Look buddy, I'll make a deal with you. If we can do that with no setbacks, you'll never hear of them again, and you'll be back to having sweet dreams in your bed within an hour. Alright?"

The prisoner nods. His acute predator mind pictures him the offer like the faint bait light of an abyssal fish. He feels his mind battling the oddity of the offer, and the soothing effect of the agent's voice, but there's no way he can fight it.

"Awesome!" agent Wesson exclaims as the two panthers smile at each other cheerfully. "Let's get to work!" "Yes." The agents both take a seat in front of the prisoner. "Let's get to work buddy, so you can soon be back to your cozy bed."
Agent Smith leans close to the prisoner's face. "Don't worry. We're just trying to help you. To help you... remember."

"Do not relax" his brain keeps commanding as the unstoppably soft, silky voices of the agents reach deeper inside his mind.
"Do not give in"

"There we are, look a him." he thinks he hears agent Wesson whisper in his colleague's ear, as they're staring at him like at a newborn. Agent Smith responds something he cannot catch. Just like this, his mind snaps. The two contradicting forces have pulled on it too much and made it blow a fuse at last.

Now he's like on drugs. The cold, the pain of the bruises are evaporating. Even the blood running out of his nose is a minor, almost funny inconvenience. The agents are asking questions, but he can only tell because of the intonation of their sentences. And he answers, but similarly, he has no clue what he says. He doesn't care anyway. It's all a dream...
