Heheh, when I caught Odahviing at Dragonsreach, I dunno why but I felt like giving a hug to the poor guy, he looked so defenseless and even more after Farengar tried to probe him
Anyway, Odahviing is one of my favorite characters, I really liked the cutscene when you ride him towards Sovngarde, but I don't think it would be a good idea if you could ride him all the time 'cause it would become a bit of a gimmick different to the main game and a lot like silly old games like Skyward Sword
Although, it WOULD be cool if you could use Odahviing to fast-travel, I know, I know, this quest would be a LONG time to wait to be able to fast travel, but fast-traveling all the time takes away a LOT of cool sigh-seeing, besides, if you wanted to get somewhere fast, you could always take a carriage, that's what I do

clearing the tower in the quest "a night to remember" was never that fun
i would only say that there were a lot of mage corpses flying off the tower due to the raining meteorites from the skyΒ

If you can't talk to him when you capture him, then it's definitely a bug
After the main quest is over he just flies in circles around the Throat of the World, he won't land, unless you use the shout "Bend Will" learned with the Dragonborn DLC, which will allow you to ride him

I believe Odaviing needs just some love and petting between the horns, he is kind and have a bit of humor, everybody loves him, from the Woman-Fangirling-Gamers to the Serious-Badass-Guys-Lv.81. #HugOdavving.

I love odahviing and parthurnax. Hopeuflly parthurnax can teach a few of the remaining dragons the way of the voice. I know in one of the loading screens it says "dragons once tried to enslave mankind and if given the chance they would surely do it again", but i hope its wrong. Im a big dragon fan.
