I know I said that I'd be working on the big Vacc Trooperette battle and, as you'll soon see, I have been, but before I got any deeper into that I had to correct a problem with one of my character designs.

I found out just a few days ago that a dear friend for whom I'd created a model didn't think that it looked much like her. Naturally I wanted my friend to be able to relate to the beautiful young thing that would soon be dying in her stead, and my modeling skills (so to speak) have improved since I first tried to depict her, so I asked for some more photographic references and came up with this. I'm not sure if this will tickle her fancy but honestly I think this bird is just LOVELY so whether my friend likes it or not she'll be appearing in the upcoming vacc trooperette battle.

As the young sentry makes her way back to her barracks at the end of her shift she walks with a purposeful, enthralling strut that conceals the fatigue of a woman who's just stood at alert for ten hours in heels. She knows that this is the most dangerous moment of her day - alone and vulnerable, she could be picked off by Space Pirates or enemy mercs at any moment, and she compensates by being hyper vigilant, one hand resting deliberately on the pommel of her trusted monowire blade. Her silvery blue eyes - an intriguing colour that everyone assumes must be gene-spliced but which, in fact, are natural and mark her highborn origins, scan every shadow for possible dangers. Though her senses are highly acute it's her body itself that is her true detection mechanism, and she focuses on the subtle flow of air currents that waft through her particle weave skinsuit as a secluded part of her mind reviews the rest of her daycycle.

She never tells anyone she's a highborn, of course. The other girls would just resent her and no-one would believe that the highborns are in the habit of selling their unwanted children into high-casualty probability servitude just to keep issues of succession nice and clear. As far as the other girls are concerned she's just another outsystem reject with no prospects who was pressganged and chipped, just hoping against hope to survive her ten years and get on with her life. Unlike her mates, who often talk about what they're going to do after they're done with the combine (as if they expect to survive) Chloe knows that matriculating will just mean that she's assassinated so she makes the most of the short life she'll have and appreciates the little things, like the feeling of the yellow star's light on her exposed face, a good sensie, and the nightly caresses of her fellow sentries.

I hope Eva is off shift when I get back to the barracks, she thinks pleasantly of her favourite bunkmate though she's not allowed to know the other girl's schedule for security reasons. Since sentries at the facility are often eliminated it wouldn't do for them to know anything useful that could be revealed by interrogation. Or Zoey, or Kristin... honestly I'd take a massage and a leg over from any of them but fucking Rachel. She's proper fit but completely mental...

A sudden change in air pressure alerts the young sentry to potential danger and before she's even consciously processed it her nipples are diamond hard, straining against the ultra thin material of her suit. Her head whips around to look for the intruder but...

Heh... hehehe... I could keep going, of course, you know the next bit is my favourite part but it's really not for me to say what's about to happen. I'll leave that for SilencedSentry , assuming of course that she likes her new "her", and/or anyone else who'd like to chime in with a bit of lovely whatever. It doesn't even have to be lethal if you're not so inclined, just dead sexy.
