When he wants food, he usually sits by his bowl and puts a front paw inside it, looking up at us as if we've made a grave oversight. If we don't see him, he drags it across the floor, making a noise akin to nails on a chalkboard!

My wife is asleep under the covers behind him, with a giant teddy bear who's ears you can just see at the head of the bed.

Actually Newton is a he And my wife had been up late and was trying to block out the noise I was making with the teddy bear. Newton, of course, thought we were playing a game...

I was putting clothes away and I guess I slammed the drawers too loudly; she groaned and covered her ear with the teddy bear, pulling the blanket up over her head (she's not a morning person to begin with). Newton was watching me fold clothes, and when I saw his expression, I grabbed the camera.

Thank you. The thing I've noticed about Newton is that you can always tell his mood from his expression, more so than most cats.
