Description This is a new character created specifically for a poem I wrote.
She has an accompanying character named Innocence.
Who I have drawn but have yet to post.

I'm working on a story board type thingy too go with the poem,
including these characters.

The poem is called "Embrace the Madness"

I want it to be really good, so it won't be posted for a bit.

I'm also really proud of this picture! Its some of my best and creepiest work!!!!~

Here's a short Bio about Madness and Innocence.

They don't have actual names, they are simply Madness and Innocence.

If you know my OC Ecila or Dark Alice cat,
than I can explain Madness this way.

She is more insane and bloodthirsty than Ecila.

Ecila talks big about hating Alice cat and wanting to kill her,
but to this day she has not, and never will.
Because she knows they are connected.
She simply likes to torment her.

But Madness want to consume Innocence.
To make her into what she hates,
and pull her into the dark forever.

Innocence is the Alice cat to Madness.

But more than that she is the complete opposite.
There is no blured lines, although they represent two parts of one person.
(That person is sorta me. But if you identify with these characters,
than they can be anyone.)

Alice cat represents happiness, cuteness and fun.
Where as Ecila represents hatred, sexyness and torment.

Innocence and Madness represent exactly what they are called.
But to the extreme.

They act like what they are.

Innocence is a child that doesn't always know better but loves unconditionally and fights for what she thinks is right. She is easily frightened, but knows she has to stand up to her fears.

Madness is creature that has no clear reasoning for anything, and this makes her completely un-predictable. She wants freedom to create chaos. She will do anything and say any thing to be free.

And finally the most important part!

Innocence holds the key to Madness's cage.

OH Almost forgot!
The scar on her chest is from when she cut her own heart out.
It is constantly bleeding due to the fact that she hardly tried to patch it.
She's a monster so she doesn't need to worry about bleeding to death.
Her soul is already dead anyway.

If these characters interest you, you'll have to keep and eye out for the poem!

Please do NOT steal/use/re-post this!
Or I'll sick Madness on you!

Hope you like this!~

Ooo~ Alice, this is so cool 8D

You know, the stitches on her chest kinda make me think of Stein for this whole thing XD;;
Since he was in tune with madness too~

I gotta say too, the description of Madness really sends shivers down my spines~
Especially with the line "Innocence holds the key to madness" That's really deep too~

I liked reading about Ecila a bit more too~ Kinda makes me think of her as like an anti-villain in a way~ Like Loki XD

I can't wait to read the poem too~

Thank you!
I'm super happy with it!

Oh haha ya that's true.
Though his are on his cloths, so its less gory.
Ah yes, I thought a lot about Soul Eater when making this character!

AH PERFECT! Haha I mean that exactly what it supposed to do.
Like you know Ecila and she's crazy, but nothing like Madness.
Oh well its kinda deep, but its actually literal.
Innocence has a key, and Madness lives in the cage it opens.
It is a representation too though.
Its like the good half of me keeps the evil half locked away.
For the most part.

Mhmm I guess you could say she is.
I I kinda want to make comics for both Alice cat and Ecila,
and Innocence and Madness.
But it takes so much effort!
OH but maybe if I get some copic markers I could.

Well... I could let you read it early. I'd like to see what you think of it.

You're welcome
I'm glad you are~

That's true~ They are~ But there is a couple on his face though
And nice! Soul Eater is good for inspiration

(Oh! Sorry to steer away from the convo for the moment but I'm starting some rough designs for your Meister~ I have his personality pretty much in mind~ Just trying to figure out in what directions I want his look to be~)

I'm glad I got that reaction then
It definitely is good representation
Mhmm~ I know exactly what you mean with that~
But at the same time too, it can work in reverse~ Sometimes the evil half can keep the good half locked away
It all depends on the person~ But with you, it's what you said

Ooo~ I'd love to read the comics if and when you make them
Yeah, I know what you mean :S But hey, if anyone can pull it off, it's you!

Ooooo! I'd honestly love that! And I'll definitely give my honest opinions on it too~

Thank you, its taken a lot of digital practice.
Um well what digital program do you use?

I use SAI.
What I do for the colour is this:

I start with a flat solid colour.
Its needs to be the base colour so lighter than what you want the shadows to be,
but darker than the light parts.
Or just the colour you would normally use.
Then I use the airbrush tool on a very low density, or opacity,
and just lightly brush on the colour as if I were painting.

Then if the lines are to harsh I use the blur tool to soften it.

I also do a lot of layering of colours. Well here I did.
The skin is a blue colour, but I used light blue, dark blue, teal, light purple, violet purple, and so on.

But I only add the darker colours where shadow would be and the light ones where light would be.
This helps to make sure it doesn't look to bazar.

And same kinda thing with the hair. I used several different colours, ranging in the same general colours, red, brown, orange, and yellow.

This can get hectic, so what I do is on a different layer I make little swatch's of the colours I'd like to use.
Than once I've used them and are happy with it, I delete the layer with the swatch's.

If you don't have SAI I maybe might be able to get it for you. Just maybe... I haven't done it before.

Your welcome!
Hope they help.
They were really confusing sounding even to me.

Oh well that's good! It should have tools for shading and blurring.
But if not whatever.
