More stuff from my book...Cloud-watching!
This scene never actually happened in the book per se, but I always pictured it as being part of a montage sequence that sort of explains a lot of backstory.
I'd go into more detail but it'd be Spoiler Universe.
Sooo anyways this kiiinda turned out the way I wanted it to and yet kiiinda didn't. Frankly it looked best when I used the GIMP filter to turn it into an old sepia-toned photo but I think I'll save that effect for another picture >_>

I'm a bit late on commenting, but this is really nice
I like how you can see your characters so very clearly! I'm thinking about it because have an idea for a story I want to write, but I haven't gotten very far in defining the characters yet... deciding what they are and aren't... so they are very hazy in my mind still.
It's a bit of a pity about the pixelling around your characters (evil anti-aliasing!), but I like how the background is in pixelly style so I'm not being consistent there

I'm not sure where the pixelly edges came from truthfully, since I don't think I've had that problem before... I tried to smooth them out a bit when I noticed them, but couldn't get it all 
Drawing my characters is an important part of character design for me-- it helps me to really "get in character". That's one of the reasons why my characters are all talking animals... it's the only thing I can draw. x]

Hehe, I think I would be infinitely better at picturing my characters if they were animals or anthropomorphic

Well there are supposed to be some really scary characters later on, but if I drew them they'd probably end up being unintentionally cute... x_x
