On May 7th, 2016, there was something I wanted to give you. I had thought about it for a while and we had even joked about it, but nothing was really ever done. We had each other and that was enough for us. At least, it was for a little while. We had other people on the sides, but they just seemed to dim themselves in the shadows compared to the constant light you and I shined onto each other. Eventually, I couldn't get you out of my mind; no matter who I was with and how much I tried, you were always there. "I wonder what he's doing right now.", "I should text him, tell him I hope he's having a good day." I didn't because I thought it would give me away. And when we were together, I knew something was different because three beautiful yet unimaginably scary words tried to slip past my lips at my most vulnerable moments. And that's when I knew.

On May 7th, 2016, we sat in a park together just like we would any other normal date we had. But this was no normal date. I pulled out my sketchbook that contained a question on a page. I didn't expect you to see it so soon, and I had no time to prepare. My eyes shakily wandered over your body language and your facial expressions hoping there were no signs of disgust or discomfort. And to my delight, you answered "Yes."

And so, on May 7th, 2016, Titan became my boyfriend.
