Thor while on a drinking rampage. It's a second painting in my Norse Gods series.First one is Odin.

Finally someone has noticed. Actually, there's been a number of excavated skeletons of viking warriors that had similar marks carved into their teeth. Scholars suppose that they might have had been filled with some pigment.
It's probably used to be done for the scare factor in a fight. I thought that would give Thor more of a vicious, primeval look.

Yeah, it means they have something to hide, and don't want to slip it away while drunk. On the other hand, do you watch Game of Thrones. In the last season at the end you can see the outcome of trusting non drinkers.
