Description It's a Viking with a big axe.

This was illustrated for part of an advertising campaign for the PC game Dark Age of Camelot.

Created mostly with acrylic, a little bit of oil on top in the detailed areas and a some colored pencil linework.

*** I have archival PRINTS in stock of many of my works. Please feel free to send a note if there is a particular one that interests you.

Now, that is a viking! I was browsing in the search of a picture of a viking WITHOUT those damned horns on the helmet (I feel so sorry for those guys, who has major viking-tattoos, picturing them with horned-helmets. How wrong that is). Back to your painting; fantastic. It is beautifully done, of course, but there are so many layers to it; is he watching his done deeds or is he waiting for the right moment before he throw himself into battle, or...?
Your use of colours is very "dreamy" - it reminds me of the Valérian and Laureline comics, drawed by Jean-Claude Mézières.
It ignites ones fantasy instantly!

I've been watching your art on Magic:The Gathering cards now for many years.

Giant Growth
Lay Waste
Kird Ape
Force of Will
Legacy Weapon
Secluded Glen (which is the most beautiful Foil card I've ever seen)

Your peices are amazing and I am very happy that you are on DA and that I get a chance to view the full range of your skill.

Keep up the great work. Astounding!
