a birthday present for my dear brother who just turned 26 yesterday. He loves everything viking-y. just like me!
(martijn, don't show him because I haven't sent it yet! 
) I recently bought this really cool brush that I used to do the hair and fur. Lol, that doesn't look like fur at all...
I experimented a lot with this painting. Tried to get a chainmail effect on his armor and tried to make the hair look hairy..
Vikings didn't actually have horns on their helmets. But who cares, it's cool. Makes them look dangerous!

First of all...Happy Birthday for your brother, I asume it is today since you submited this one on 1 nov last year!
Now, the painting is just awsome!!!I am sure he was very happy about it! I really love that fierce look and the knoted beard!I really love that about vikings!
And the bracelet is so gorgeous and so is the belt!
About the horns on the vikings helmet, I swear that the most controversal thing ever...half say they had them, the others say it's just a clishee! Well, I don't know if it's true or not, I am not an arheologist, but this must have a bit of truth in it, where else could the legends have come? And they look great, so why not?!

yeah, weather they had hors or not, they sure look cool! yes, today on halloween is his 27th birthday. (that old man..) he is currently celebrating with his wife in Finnland. *is SUPER ENVIOUS* i hope he well buy me some thing ensiferum/turisas related.. teehee....
ooh thank you! i am very pleased with this one! i hope the art muse will return soon so i can continue to do stuff like this... have you ever had these phases, when everything you try just fails? or your head is just blank of ideas? it sucks.. oh well. it will pass hopefully!

Wow, so he is in Finland...so aswome!!!! Btw I love Ensiferum too, one of my fav bands and I totally love the fact that Petri is in it! I just adore that dude...his charcter is so cool...and yes...goodlooking too!
And don't say he is old..I'll soon be 27 too...in two years...it's not that far!

its also my fave ^^ Petri is awesome, yes,(and super hot, hahah!) but I have never listened to this band he used to be in =O I should check that out.

You should definitly check it out! The best albums are the first two "Dreams of Endless War" and "Mirror of Madness". On the third album you can tell that tehy started to become more comercial, which I supose was one of the main reasons Petri got kicked out, because he didn't want to pla that junk!
