Description A little girl
With butterfly lashes
Sat in her papa's lap
Unaware that one day
She'll scatter his ashes

She asked him
What it's like to be older
Unaware of time
Growing shorter and shorter
And this is what he told her:

Do not be afraid
Of the passing of seasons
It is Life's gift to her children
To grow stronger and wiser

Do not be afraid
Of passing to the other side
It is Death's gift to her children
To rest with their loving memories

Do not be afraid
Of making memories
It is my gift to you
To use with full abandon

So the girl
Lived by her father's word
Aware of the passing seasons
And beautiful memories made
As she scattered Papa's ashes to the world

The start was very well written, too bad you quit that splendid rhyming later. Still a wonderful poem.

Thank you...and yeah, I wish I could rhyme better, but that was all I could manage. And also, thank you for showing me how to do the italics....I'm terrible with technology...

Sorry for not replying sooner, I was on vacation with no internet available!
