Description Not much to say about this one. I think I did sort of good on the fur but I'm proud of that hinted yellow because the fur was of the bears in Frostfire's home land and Rose informed me those were Polar Bears. Polar Bears tend to have this yellowish tint to their fur due to it actually being clear and having light reflect off it. I also wanted to add some sparkles to the bow even though that wasn't technically mentioned in the story as I felt it needed a bit more color so it didn't look too bland to those who don't like much white. XD It was fun and it was nice to try something simple for once. Not saying fur is simple or that bow (clearly it isn't based on my terrible ability to draw them but good enough for a cartoon style) I mean a simple concept. Enjoy 's story and Merry Christmas Eve Eve. Well... Just Eve now... XD;

“Where on Mobius is Sonic?” An irritated Sonia furiously demanded.

“I'm not sure, I haven't seen him all morning.” Tails replied calmly.

“Ugh, he's SUPPOSED to be here for the gift exchange!” The female Hedgehog complained, pacing back and forth. “He’s late - he is the fastest thing alive and he’s late!”

“Yeah, it is a little curious but he did say he had some kind of errand to run so maybe he's taking his time with it for once.” Tails said.

“It’s Christmas morning and he's out there goofing off…” Sonia sighed in frustration and plopped onto the couch, crossing her arms.

“Don’t worry Sonia, I’m sure whatever he's got going on is important.” The Fox assured the grumpy Hedgehog. “Just to be safe though, I'll keep an ear out for him.” He tapped his wrist communicator on and on standby.

“Should we just start without him, or…?” Knuckles inquired, sipping more Grape Cider.

“Yeah, why not? I'm sure he won't mind if we continue without him.”

“Okay, as he likes to say, snooze ya lo-” The Echidna burped and exhaled as if he had been had taken a punch to the gut.

“You alright, Knuckles?” Sonia inquired her beloved with genuine concern.

“Yeah, dude - You look a little sick.” Manic pointed out, adding to Sonia’s worry.

“I-I’m fine… Just-Just a little dizzy but I’m fine.”

“Alright, well, if you need me, I’ll be in the kitchen cleaning chili that Sonic spilled all over the counters - for the third time this week.” She said spitefully before exiting the living room.

“Okay then-” Tails walked to the Christmas tree with presents under its canopy. “I'll hand out gifts, now.”

Tails looked at the ‘To/From’ tags on each wrapped present then handed them to its designated owner. As the young Fox-boy was giving his gifts and receiving them, his communicator lit up. Pausing his merriment, he read the message on his wristwatch casually, then with urgency as he continued reading. At once, he put down the candy cane he was enjoying and made haste to Knuckles who had been lying on his back on the couch exhausted, finally feeling the effects of all the Grape Cider he had been drinking. “Knuckles, get up - Sonic needs both of our help!”

“Ten more minutes, mommy… Ugh…” Knuckles words slurred as his stomach rejected the amount of liquid he consumed.

Tails shook the Echidna to his senses. “This is serious! Get up Knuckles!”

In the midst of shaking him, Knuckles snapped out of his Grape Cider inebriation-like trance. “Huh-? Wha-?”

“We need to go help Sonic!” He urged.

“W-What? Why don’t we just get the others to help and-” Tails pulled Knuckles by the arm and dragged him to the door.

“No time! We have to go now!” With that, the two were out of the house without ever being noticed by the others.

Meanwhile, Frostfire sauntered up to her sweetheart coyly. “M-Manic?” She stammeringly mumbled.

The green Hedgehog turned to her. “Oh, hey Frost. What's up, babe?”

“Uh…” She faltered a moment to blush. “I-I have something for you.”

“Oh yeah?” He swung around with interest gleaming in his brown eyes.

“Y-Yeah…” She gingerly handed him a box twice the size of one’s palm that was wrapped in white fur and with a white store-bought bow atop it.

“Whoa, furry wrapping paper… That's new.” He took the box and tried to comprehend what he was holding.

“Tails said something about wrapping paper being used to wrap presents but I wanted to add my own, er, shall we say... flair.”

“I guess!” He chuckled. “So, why fur?”

“This is Northern Tundra Bear fur - or, at least, a facsimile thereof since the beasts do not roam anywhere near Station Square. They are prey of the highest value and a symbol of status for skilled Kannik hunters.”

“Ah, so I'm gettin’ the good stuff then, huh?” Manic gave a playful smirk.

“Y-You deserve only the best.” Frostfire lowered her head meekly.

“Well, if I hadn't known this was the wrapping paper, this by itself would have been a cool gift. But let's just see what you have for me, hmm?.” He carefully undid the fur from the box. “I’m more used to tearing open presents, not preserving them.” He laughed as he finally managed to reveal the box from the fur without tearing it. “I’m guessing the wrapping is Sonia’s work?”

The Feline rubbed her neck nervously. “Am I that obvious?”

“Nah, she always makes it nearly impossible to open because my bro and I always rip her gifts to shreds.” Frostfire stifled her giggle. After he opened the box, Manic observed a strange figurine made out of green stone, crudely shaped to a Mobian’s body. The shade closely matched his fur color.

“I-I know it's not much but this is the symbol of my Tribe. It's known as an Inukshuk www.google.com/search?q=inuksh… ; they're made out of large boulders and are used as important landmarks.” Manic remained silent for a moment that crawled onward. “Oh, you hate it, don't you?” Frostfire dreaded the thought. “I-I can give you something else-”

Manic suddenly pulled her close. “No, Frost, I love it.” His warm smile that morphed into a smirk put butterflies in her stomach. “I’m the landmark of your heart, huh?” Frostfire’s face burnt a bright red. He winked at her and pressed his forehead to hers. “You know, my present was gonna be just another kiss but a more passionate one - ‘Once more, with feeling!’, they say - but I think you outdid me. THIS time.” Frostfire purred uncontrollably in response. Manic softly smiled at her outward peace.

“Frost! Manic!” Sonia called out trotting over to them. “I’ve got a present for you two!” She looked at down at the gift Frostfire gave him. “I see you've received her present, bro.” The magenta Hedgehog threw a side glance at the Snow Leopard/Cheetah Hybrid.

“Yup!” Manic replied. “So what’d you get us, sis?” Sonia abruptly handed Frostfire a scarf and her brother a pair of shiny drumsticks. Both of their jaws dropped.

“Is this…?”

Sonia looked at Frostfire. “That’s a scarf to keep you warm should you decide to go on hunting escapades during this bitterly chilly winter. It’s made of wool so it’ll do its job well and the orange-red fire pattern is just for looks. Had to really pull myself together making that but I did it for a good cause.” She smiled sweetly and Frostfire returned it.

“A-Are those…?”

She turned to her brother. “Yup - Aluminum.” He awed at the silvery sticks. “I know how you've been chewing up the wooden ones alot lately so I decided to solve that problem.”

“Th-Thank you so much, I-I…”

Sonia chuckled at her flabbergasted brother. Frostfire’s excitement weakened at the sight of seeing Manic more ecstatic over expensive musical tools than something sentimental. Sonia looked to the forlorn feline. “Frost, don't worry - your gift means more to him, trust me.” Frostfire rubbed her arm anxiously.

“Yeah, she's right, babe. These sticks were made by someone I don't even know. I'm stoked to have them, sure, but they weren't from you…” He reassured her with a gentle kiss on the lips. Frostfire, as a result, as left with a ridiculous smile on her face. The two Hedgehogs had no choice but to snicker some.

“Since she’s probably gonna be like that for a while, I've got something for you too…” Manic reached into his fanny pack.

“Oh my Gosh, you did?!” Sonia squealed.

“Uh-huh. Here ya go~” He presented her with an extravagant necklace filled with numerous amethysts i.pinimg.com/736x/76/7c/0b/767… .

“This… is… GORGEOUS!” She immediately wore it as soon as she took it. “Thank you so- Wait a minute…”

Manic smirked. “What is it, my adoring sis?”

“You didn't get your hands on this by how regular people get expensive gifts, did you?”

“Maybe I did… Maybe I didn't…” Manic boasted smugly.

“UGH! Unbelievable!” Sonia stormed off but curiously didn't take off the necklace.

Manic leaned towards Frostfire. “I spent, like, ten weeks straight trying to earn tip money by playing drums solo late at night at the Station Square Plaza. Figured this reaction and letting her think I stole it was a much better deal than hearing her complain about why I was out all night, then having to deal with her getting mushy for a half hour over it - on me, mind you, and then getting mad again for whatever random reason. She'll realize the truth eventually.” Frostfire felt as if she was breathing the same air as a demigod - it almost knocked the wind out of her. But she composed herself and simply hugged him tightly. “What? Can’t I be a good brother?” His cheeks flared a little and he turned away to hide it.

“You’re amazing…” Manic’s blushing was no longer avoidable but Frostfire didn’t even notice. Being able to express her affections towards him without apprehension was invigorating and she didn’t care about anything else in that moment. When he put his arms around her in return, she prayed the moment would last an eternity.

Seemingly as soon as her eternal bliss began, it was interrupted by a loud thud. She and Manic scanned the space around them for the source of the sound.

Manic pressed close to Frostfire absentmindedly to protect her. “Sounded like that came from-”

Another thud forced their heads to look directly up. “The roof?” Frostfire ears twitched in curiosity.

The two of them cautiously drew closer to the fireplace, unsure if that was where they heard the thuds. Sonia briskly entered the room. “Guys, did you hear that?”

“Yeah, we did-” Manic began before Tails’ muffled voice shut everyone up.

“Sonic, how on Mobius did you get stuck in the chimney?”

The way how my characters celebrate Christmas is by playing a game of Gridiron ball, which is football with the mercenaries that chooses to play with them, then they do the other traditional stuff

yep it shows how much each faction is still humane

By the way, the gifts are usually something small because you may never know when or where they may pass away

In the video game call of duty world war 2 the Gridiron game mode makes it to where you can shoot other players to tackle them, but in the story it is just a tackle and that’s it. Obviously robots cannot celebrate for they have no idea what that holiday is! Minus omega of course

Yep, so the gridiron ball is essentially a football, but more spherical

(the gridiron ball is the ball the guy is holding: www.telegraph.co.uk/content/da… )
