Well, we humans are so enamoured of birds' wings that we often forget the importance of tail feathers as rudders.

I do hate signs placed right in the middle of beautiful scenes. Telephone poles and power lines are particularly troublesome.Β
Thank you though!Β

Thank you for the favorite! Yes, I loved it there so much. The architecture was so beautiful. Especially the Sheldonian by Christopher Wren.
My professor actually does research in the Bodleian archives whenever he goes there. He was an Oxford graduate.

I'm amazed you managed to catch it with so few bicycles, last time I was there, there were so many bikes that some of them had been chained over the top of other bikes. bizarre

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

A-Glass-Brightly In reply to weeredfrog [2012-08-10 19:15:26 +0000 UTC]

haha So true! Along the streets, bikes were chained two and three thick against the railing. Even where it said "Do not chain bikes here" there were hundreds upon hundreds chained all around. Bikes are the way to go in Oxford.
