I have used pieces from several different ancient binding-curses for Hekate’s curse.
"Voodoo dolls", or kolossoi, were already thriving in the early archaic period, prior to the development of binding-curse tablets, to which they were closely related in use and deposition, at the end of it. Indeed they had no doubt been in use before literacy returned to Greece. […] Dolls were made of a wide range of materials: lead, bronze and clay ones survive, in addition to these, wax, wool, and dough ones are mentioned in the literary sources."
