There'll be Another Time...Tribute to Halo: Reach.
This art is over a year old but I recently dug it out to finish it. Experimented a lot and used a ton of reference!

skirmishers are better than jackels and yes i know they are relatives to each other but skirmishers get into the fight jackels just sit there and stare at you with there shield

I cannot put into words just how rockin' this is. Personally, i would add a bit more dramatic shadows on the covvies, but that could just be me.

This is just so incredible. It makes me want to look into the Halo games more to understand some of the symbolism/characters, but even then it's simply gorgeous!

I really doubt if anyone have that gut to stand in front of them and say "Spartan Never Dies", but that's how they made it.

Reach was a beautiful game, and I think you captured it very well. The lonely feeling of defending a planet doomed to destruction echoes in this. Especially using the broken helmet at the bottom with the burning city in the background. Though I'd have to say my favorite part is the Halos and the Ark (?) up at the top. SO SHINY!
Wish I could say the story lived up to the atmosphere, but... eh. :/

Reach had really, really fabulous atmosphere (some parts moreso than others.) The ending was powerful to me and is what I remember most, along with a number of Jorge moments which also left a big impression. (I think my favorite is "It breaks my heart..." for how understated it is.)
