My brother-in-law found one of these outside his shop. We had no idea what it was. I went to pick it up, carefully, and those 2 arms in front shot out. Luckily I picked it up from the middle. I contacted the local university to ask what it was and they told me it's a giant waterbug, or "toe biter" as they are also known as. They hang out in small ponds and some lakes. No sir, don't like it. Not at all

oi!!! I found one in my front yard like miles and miles away from any water sources! I had not a clue what they were either until not too long ago, MAN their big!!!!
