Description My second VP NanoEmo

Better Late than NaNano - VPNaNoEmoThe fun begins August 1st!!
Last year we ran a special NaNoEmo in June.  It was solely for Visual Purpose Emoticons. What does that mean? It means emoticons that are created to look at, not for use in chats or comments. Basically, pretty emoticon pictures. However, visual emotes can also include useful things like icons, stamps, etc. The key is that care is taken to create an emoticon "scene", usually with a detailed background.
I am gonna defer to the journal written last year by Synfull. It outlines what the challenge is about and how to participate. The good thing about VP NaNoEmo is that the goal is not one-a-day, but one-a-week, and smaller emote scenes (like avatars) count. So, get boned up, and if you're ready to participate, sign up.
Note that I know we're 2 months late, and notice of this is really last minute. My apologies. However, NaNo has always been a big motivator in the emoticon community and I hope it inspires a few old-timers, and newcomers, t

I'm hoping the bright page background doesn't cause the details to be lost.

I'm gonna update this with an animated version!

Are you still working on your drawings? I know you've been on hiatus for a while.

I probably have about 20 emote pieces like that in various folders. Of course, I'm pretty slow to begin with!

I love it
You should recommend the viewer to zoom the pic to explore all those fine details and to find "the essence".

It's such a nice feeling to discover the one that your emote is missing.

I've been trying to come up with ideas for bordering the darker toned pieces, so the light page background doesn't interfere too much with seeing details. This is one I came up with sta.sh/09cjhdqwyv9 What do you think?

I like that you crossed the border with the waterline exceeding into the dark frame. For my taste it has a very nice effect.

The color of the dark frame works well for pushing the mood a bit further, but it doesn't affect realizing the details better.
I think that in this case it is 'simply' difficult to realize all the details because they are so very tiny and not because of the color of background.

If the image would have been done in very light colors, then a darker background would be necessary to realize, but that's not the case here.

Thanks! I'm gonna go with it any way, for an animated version, since I can use animation to draw attention to the details.

You really will do an animation on this? Boah - that will become incredibly awesome!
... and some stars a bit flickering and possibly a single, small shooting star, which gives an indication of the particular reflection?
I'm already soo excited just by thinking about it
