I had this strong urge to draw an expression or just a portrait, and I still haven't gotten Balin quite out of my system. I don't get those urges often, but yeah. The hardest thing was the pattern on his sleeves. First it took a while to find a decent reference of it, and then I had trouble figuring it out. My brain gets confused with stuff like that, but it turned out good, I think And of course I had fun doing his face
