Here is Mindset. Most of you could not know this character. It's an "obscur" transformer that appeared in the G2 comics. here is all you need to know about him. I had so much fun to redesign him from the very 80ies original look.This drawing is a commission for the rusting carcass 's portfolios. I'm impatient to see that printed

Well, for me, his toy is the first green and white version called "Hailstorm". I renamed it Minset and just ignored the blue repaint.
But this toy is pretty wicked by itself.

yeah, I like Hailstorm waaaaaaaay more than I do Mindset, I think one of the big problems is his head, it just looks so bad...

There's a Mindset toy coming out, but he's a different character entirely, and an Autobot. Headscult doesnt match either.
Dissapointing, really. But still salvageable. At least we can peel off the Autobot rubsign and order some G2 Decepticon symbol stickers from Reprolabels to cover up the Autobot emblems.
The figure that it's a redeco of is still pretty decent. You can even configure it's missle pods into one large unit like the G2 guy. I hope some third party developer could craft a more G2-like head replacement

Well... for that, I have a simplier solution. I just call the first robot (the green one) "Minset" and don't care about the blue one. And then, It's a perfect "movie-verse" iteration of the character (head aside)

That's cool. Im still a bit more partial to the blue one. I just like the more subdued color scheme for some reason.
Also had to clip the missles. They looked awful sticking so far back, and I was never going to launch them anyway

It crossed my mind to buy the blue one to swap parts and give the green black threads and chest. But then, it'd be less white and then less minsetish. And it'd still be easier to buy the takara one for the same result.

There was some sort of connection there. As Onslaught felt his demise. But nothing specific was ever really brought up as the comic got cancelled not long after.

Y'know, I think that whole jutting lower lip thing in the G2 comics was just the popular "uber-muscular, uber-macho" attitude that plagued comics of the time. I like how you incorporated it. Kinda funny.

and its a damn sight better then manny galan's work ( who can draw and is a good artist but not suited to transformers)
