If this image, taking in context with its title, is any suggestion of the battles waged in the minds of those unfortunate enough to be afflicted with mental illness then it's a very profound image, a picture singularly indicative of the unchecked tumult that tips sufferers' minds rapidly and steeply in each direction until those who can no longer maintain such a volatile mental state will slip to one side or the other.

Art can happen quickly, in a matter of minutes, or it can take years on end. The results, though, will endure as long as people are around to maintain the works their creators strove so hard to produce. Their meanings, though, are constantly evolving as societies and the people within them grow, change and develop new perceptions on their modern lives and interpretations of the past.
