Description i bloomed and blossomed at your touch
and waited patiently to be plucked:
       lay among daisies in fields
       danced between roses in gardens
       swayed with jasmine in courtyards,
never once questioning whether i belonged
for i knew the only place i wanted to be
was on your windowsill for the world to see.

I can feel the innocent hope and excitement in the beginning, chasing after the prospect of something beautiful only to lose prospect of it. And by that, a piece of you held most dear feels dead inside.

I feel your pain, sweetie. It feels like the kind of stuff I would write about.

Do take solace in the fact that a dead plant can come to life, with a little water, and a little love, it may bloom again.

I really like this, lovely.  The metaphor is beautiful even if the content is hard.

This is lovely, and so very, very sad... I find the imagery especially compelling.

A single seed
came so far to never
find a place to grow...
