if im honest from all the races from xenoblade that could make an autonumous robot they would be the machina (they made the mechon), the humans (from X), the homs, the high entia or the Nopon (i mean they make machines that can rival and even surpass homs tecnology, surprise shulk and they do it all using natural materials like wood...give them more materials and there you go)
