Too right. I told a friend of mine at work about my version of the ending and she thinks I should've been the writer for this movie (regardless of what Sam Raimi thinks).

Trivia: I named her Angela Gable because the name Angela sounds like "Angel" and Gable because it sounds like "Gabriel". So her name basically means Angel Gabriel, and she effectively ends up serving a role in saving Christine's soul, a literal guardian angel.
