I've created an updated version of this with close button on the right side, increased full screen control size, and smoother look.

can you make the bottom button bar smaller like half of what is now and change the functionality of the time bar like this: the left tells the time elapsed and the right one the reminig time

Though I did not like the buttons on the right, so I of course went to download the caption mod.
But no, those buttons weren't placed properly, they didn't stick to the right top.
So... I decided to make my own version with the buttons on the right, and some small other modifications too.

This skin is exactly what I was looking for, however, I run a dual monitor setup and when I try to view a video in fullscreen it always shows on my first monitor instead of the second monitor. I have VLC on the second monitor when I go into fullscreen, but it shows the fullscreen window on the first monitor while a blank window remains on the second monitor. Thanks.

I have a problem, with default skin i can select preset equalizer, but when i change to this skin i can't choose preset equalizer anymore
Preset equalizer what i want is Full Bass & Treble, check this screenshot: [link]

somewhere in the preference is a text box where you can manually set the equalizer. if you use that it will stay on always

very nice one. and it has a fullscreen controller. fullscreen controller does not work on current 1.1.9 version for ubuntu and thats a reason why i use a skin.
version 1.1.8 worked flawlessly and one version later it is broken again, software in general gets worse. programmers dont know how to code with care anymore. they are mostly young people caring for nothing at all, especially linux programmers.

Excellent skin! However, the controls in full-screen are rather annoying to have on-screen all the time. Can they be hidden somehow?
