Description After the Treaty of Stettin in 1630, Sweden gained control over some parts of Pomerania. While in real life the Swedes could not expand their Pomeranian territory, in this timeline they could. Just like in our reality the Congress of Vienna 1815 influenced Pomerania, which was almost completely swedified by then: They gained independence. The Federal Republic of Pomerania has kept its independence since then and has remained neutral in both World Wars, which is why it is often referred to as Switzerland of the North. Pomerania still holds close ties to Sweden but does not seek to join the Kingdom.

That looks interesting. But the towns in the east have german names, in west are the names swedishized (GΓΌstrow -> Gystro, but e.g. Greifswald is not Gripsskog)

Wow a swedified Pommern that sounds really fascinating. So the Germans there were also assimilated?

Most of them were, which is I think quite realistic after almost 200 years of Swedish rule

Hm idk how the swedish language policy was back then, I know they influenced Finnland,
but the finnish language was never gone among the normal people.
