Something about this takes me back to The Neverending Story. And that's a wonderful thing.

LOL!!! Oh wow... as I was drawing this little guy I had this dialog going on in my head. Basically it was this character complaining about how everyone loves racing snails but do racing turtles get any respect? No! And everyone knows racing turtles are faster anyway.

hmmm... I bet you are referring to the Turtle in the swamp of sadness... well he's just a really large racing turtle! Thanks for the love!

Incredible! I guess the running dialog in your head while drawing this really effected, well, the drawing! I didn't even have to click on the image in your gallery to enlarge it, even as a thumbnail I immediately said "That reminds me of Neverending Story. It must be in my favorites. Now." I think your style could really do well for an expressive scene with the old man hanging in the basket excitedly watching Arteyu approach those sphinxes. I just love that scene, maybe it's the deep dark colors, the old man's crazy face and hair, the sky, the impending doom, something.

Probably not the fastest way to get around I love the concept, great that you made the legs so long, it makes the content dynamic by fighting against the stereotyphical image of a turtle. He's got a special way of walking though, heh. Amazing work as usually

Thanks! I've always like to "twist" the norm.
