By the way, can I ask if you happen to know if dA's still processing film membership applications?
I filed my application last year and again, on the first week of April but still, I've got no response..
They say the staff reply to applicants whether they are qualified or not but, alas.. 
I even sent them a helpdesk ticket regarding my query but they only replied to me with a generic response.

Any suggestions on what I should do?

Hey, no trouble at all! ^_^ 

It's actually been years since I applied for film membership, so I'm afraid I don't know how things are going with it currently :/ However, I have had a little bit of trouble in the past when it came to getting in touch with the people in charge of film and animation stuff. I guess my best advice would be keep trying maybe? If you pester them about it enough, maybe they'll eventually help you out

I had a look at your animations, they were really fun! I did get a laugh from the one about newspaper headlines XD

I hope so too. I've been talking to some dA members in discordapp.
They said tickets have been less and less get attended. Lots of staff might have gotten fired since wix took over.

Human relationships will always be difficult to deal with comparing to everything else. People create unattainable expectations based on romantic literature, movies, and Disney mandatory happy endings. Life doesn't work that way, but some still expect others to change and meet unrealistic expectations. That's a main reason the marriage institution has been failing for decades. They don't accept people for what they are, and try to change them. But as it is with human nature, people never change. And if they do to please somebody else, they won't be happy for long.

I see a part of that in your story.

True Although I wouldn't necessarily say that people never change. Often they choose not to, for sure. But I think the differences between the characters in this were actually fairly negligible. Things could have been reconciled, if they'd both just stepped back and reconsidered the situation a little bit differently. In the moment, though, they were too caught up in their own points of view that that never really occurred to them. They could still wise up some day and realize their mistakes

What I wanted to say was that in general people will never change. There will always be exceptions to the rule, but not so many. Most people will never change, be it by choice or something else. We sometimes don't mind doing things for our loved ones that some could consider self-sacrifice, and we do it with pleasure. But if a relationship starts depending on it everyday, then it's doomed. People are comfortable being who they are, and there is a whole life history that led to it. Change that to please somebody else becomes a burden that consumes the relationship over time. I think this is pretty common and might be happening everywhere. Most of us start relationships way before we attain maturity, and age alone doesn't mean people get any wiser. Not to mention those who believe marriage means ownership of the partner. That's why I believe human relationships are always the biggest challenge in life.

That's very true! I generally agree, and that's definitely a big part of what the film is about I just like to stray away from absolutes when it comes to considering human nature. I like to think there's a better side to most of us, even if we don't always succeed in finding it.

Thank you! ^_^ I have a thing for turtles, so that was one of my favorite shots  
It's also partly inspired by a digital piece I made a few years back back of the world turtle myth. I thought it would be cool to include something like that in the film
