Anyway, Jowan sad story continues... now, if someone would say something like that ("I've become a criminal because you were more gorgeous than I was") how do you feel? Me, I'd puch him on the nose, Ewan feels guilty for having make his friend feel inadequate...

This is a fan comic based on the Bioware's videogame "Dragon Age: Origins" and expansions. All characters and characters design except those not fitting the game belongs to Bioware, Ewan is designed on a customizable Player Character so he doesn't belong to anyone but as concept to me, the story is mine so it's not official, no copyright infringement is intended so don't bother me about it.

non so se Γ¨ volontario, ma Jowan dice che imparare la magia per Ewan era Facile (Easy), per lui era un Incubo (Nightmare), ovvero le due difficoltΓ  opposte su cui puoi settare DA.

Yea! And I love how Ewan's trying to make Jowan feel better about himself. Especially in that last panel. Jowan probably deserves a slap for turning criminal, but I think I'd feel guilty too. Especially if I never really knew how they felt, which it appears Ewan didn't. Plus, Jowan would have been afraid of being Tranquil, and that sounds really scary too.

I always found Jowan one of the most intriguing figures in the story: he's basically good, but he ends up doing "terrible" things (although the only serios crime I can see is poisoning arl Eamon). He is harmless, even Irving would have spared him for the blood magic thing... I think he trusted the wrong people instead of turning to his friends for help (or turning to the "wrong friends"... ) and being prone to panic and easily influenceable, he ended up in troubles. That's why when he choose to follow his own lead, he accomplished may goals, like becoming Dragon's Claw's beloved healer.

Fear is as powerful motivation as bravery, problem is when somebody acts out of fear 80% of the time he does the wrong thing...

Fear = desperation = taking the fastest/quickest/easiest way. Which isn't always the right way. Bravery and love I think tends to weigh consequences more and leaves for fewer regrets.

Oh, I don't know... I have to wait to play DAII to check out some things I need for chapter 4 and (mostly) 6 but I definetly want to finish the comic before september, when Skyrim will be out... ANOTHER TES GAME!! YAY!!!
(Honestly, I started playing DAO because I wasa tierd of re-replaying Morrowind and Oblivion )

Also I wonder if Jowan did become a Spirit Healer. Does he get them later? He could just have learned some Creation spells and been done with the blood magic stuff. But then again, we don't know what happened after his leaving, and this IS your comic, so I think this is a good plot point to make~
