Hardcorps is probably my favourite in the series but Contra III is definitely immense. It's ridiculously hard and like I said, the enemy designs are fucking freaky.

Yeah, it helps that I grew up with Hard Corps. These days it's one of those Genesis games that has become so wired to my brain I find myself wondering why someone I'm playing with has such a hard time playing it.
Sounds like I should get myself acquainted with 3 sometime soon if the designs can beat HC in being horrific!
