This image was a product of experimentation. I took a lot of risks and stepped out from what I was comfortable and confident with to work this piece. I spent several days on it. My major goal was to give a nebula a sophisticated painted slash realist look without the use of a tablet as I had not owned one from my start in this genre. I had used textured brushes to lay down my nebula, dust and gases ground work up to this point and I thought I'd take a stab at creating with pure color. It is very hard to define definition and substance in something so subtle and delicate as space gas with only a mouse. In the end I got the knowledge I wanted out of the work so the piece served its ultimate purpose and thus my time on it was complete good or bad the outcome. This work serves as a testament to my growth from Dawn Away From Home.
