Same here. After my belief, others make nicer backgrounds than me, but then again, in time it might change. Something that is the same at you. In time you too will learn how to make good backgrounds, just need a little more practice.

I've used Photoshop CS3 and Painter X, but Photoshop is enough.

awesome, hey, how well do you know Painter X? I got it a while ago and i want to know how to use layers... I know how to add one but not access it... I'm not really sure about it.

Good question on layers... Layers in Painter are a bit more complex than in Ps, more options. But the basics are the same...Make/Select a layer,select your brush , than start to paint. When finished select a new one and continue on that, yet there are a lot of option such as layer type: default , gel which make slight changes when you paint. It's the best to experiment, yet you can also download tutorials from torrent sites.( video tutorials)

yeah, I've been experimenting. I just can't figure out how to view which layer I'm on... but yeah, I havn't checked out any tutorials yet...I should do that...

How come...You click the layer you are working on on the side. Then if you are in no need of a layer you can turn off or on the layers by clicking on the eye near the layer.

yeah, but when I add a new layer nothing shows up on the side... It confuses me. I'm probably doing something wrong, but it's bothering me. I click new layer and then nothing happens and when i save it says something along the lines of the layers are merged or something but i can't see them seperately...
