I took this photograph of a Bristle Cone Pine tree in 1981. This tree really draws you in. it was just out there all by itself, twisted and strange...all by itself. It makes you want to touch it, pet it, explore it. My daughter says it reminds her of the tree in the movie ferngully, i say it looks like treebeard from Lord of the rings.Related content

This tree is probably the most breathtaking I've seen. There are so many interesting/odd trees in the world but this is definitely one of those I'd really like to see in person someday.

Hehe, this does remind me of the tree that Hexxus was trapped in in the movie Ferngully. Very creepy, but at the same time very interesting.

Yes, its a very intresting tree. Nicole and i are going to shoot some nature photos today, but it is a bit misty out. we'll see how it goes. thank you for your comment and adding me to your friends list.
