Um, "time spent on" has surpassed hours and moved to days, of which I've lost count. I'm pretty happy with this pic. I've got another version that I might submit sometime.

Well, I see it more as contemplative. But there's also some sadness there, such as when he said to the Major that they had both killed their own countrymen. As Vlad, he did have a rather sad fate: he lost his kingdom and land.
