General Info
Name: Mila Kipa
Name Meaning: Tradition Keeper
Age: 1 Cycle and 4 Moons
Rank: Warrior
Tribe: Maisha
Theme Song: “How ‘Bout Them Cowgirls” by George Strait and “One Of The Guys” by Terri Clark
Voice Actor: Elizabeth Olsen
Other: Picture without tail wrap
Appearance
Pelt: Mila has a very light colored pelt littered with lighter and darker spots. Her muzzle and belly are a lighter tan than the rest of her aside from the very tip of her mouth, which is streaked with a darker brown. Light tan speckles up onto her body, mixing with her main pelt color, the same goes for her tail tip, and some of those spots speckle onto her dark tail striple as well.
Eyes: Mila has very light blue eyes though they slowly get darker as they reach the pupils. Her pupils are actually a very dark blue, and thus not totally black.
Voice: Mila’s voice is slightly lower than most girls, but not overly so. It is also somewhat crackly sounding, though not so much that it’s distracting. If she makes an effort she can actually talk fairly high and add a sweet touch to her voice but she hates doing so and thus she usually just talks normally.
Scent: Mila spends most of her time milling about camp or resting her favorite tree thus she usually smells of a mix of sand and vegetation. Sometimes she will go roll in the flower valley, but these are rare occasions thus she doesn’t normally smell like flowers.
Build: Mila has a fairly heavy build, which assists her in being a warrior, though compared to a lot of other warriors she looks much less muscular. She is around average height for a female, though if you look closely you can see that she is a tad bit shorter. Her body is decently long, and thus she can run fairly well, though she does have shorter legs so she usually isn’t in the front when she does run.
Fur: Mila’s fur is medium length, making it pretty easy to manage, though the fact that it is a little longer than some cheetah’s fur means that it gets messier and tangled more easily. On most days it is somewhat soft, but every few days Mila will give it a good clean and right after that it is very soft, so much so that she doesn’t let anyone touch it.
Hair: Mila has dark brown hair that would normally sweep over her right eye, but she braids it so that it stays out of her face, though her braids are always messy. The rest of her hair falls behind her, going almost to her shoulder, but due to the difficulty this provides in battle Mila also braids it and unlike her bang braid she almost never takes this braid out.
Accessories
Tail Wrap: Mila has a vine tail wrap that starts a little past the base of her tail and runs to a little before her tail tip. She does not wear it all the time, in fact she only puts it on if she is leaving camp or a battle is expected. This is because it aids her in fighting, as it gives her tail more strength and sting when she uses it on her enemies.
Spring Star Flower: Although Mila is a bit of a tomboy, she always wears the flower that her father gave her. It was his reminder to her that no matter what people thought she should always be true to herself, whether that be acting more like a guy, or embracing her feminine side.
Paint Marking: Mila’s paint marking is a line coming from each eye and curling downward before ending a spiral. Along with this she also has three spots under each eye.
Personality
Positive Traits
-
[Friendly]
When first meeting Mila, she will great you with a friendly smile and in general she puts most cheetahs at ease. She is pretty chill and tends to roll with the punches of life, making her a good friend to have by your side. Most of the time she is willing to help out with anything you are having trouble with, even if she barely knows you. This only extends to cheetahs in her tribe however, and if you happen to comment poorly about the way she talks or acts then her friendliness will quickly disperse.
[Intelligent]
Mila is a very smart cheetah to begin with. She can think through problems rationally and weigh the pros and cons quite well. Another way in which her intelligence shines through is her ability to learn quickly, and that fact that she remembers all that she has learned. Although her smarts usually just come in figuring out the right thing, learning, and remembering, Mila can also come up with some ingenious plans. These mainly include pranks that she and her brother pull on other cheetahs. When she was younger the pranks hurt cheetahs a few times but now she is more careful and thus her pranks aren’t dangerous, just fun.
[Focused]
When Mila puts her mind to something nothing can get her attention away from it. Meaning she rarely ever gets distracted when she is focused on something that needs to be done. However it must be something she enjoys or else she will lose interest quickly. This also relates to talking with others, if someone comes to her with a problem she will listen intently, almost multitasking as she listens and tries to come up with a solution at the same time. She is actually quite good at this and multitasking in general and is able to balance what she is focusing on quite well.
Neutral Traits
-
[Quirky]
Most cheetahs would consider Mila quirky, mainly for her tomboyishness. She doesn’t fuss with her hair very often, she usually doesn’t mind getting dirty, and she often talks with slang words. This can be weird when cheetahs first meet her but once you get to know her they just make you smile or laugh. Although she doesn’t particularly like girly things all the time, occasionally Mila will allow herself to pretty herself up and treat herself. This doesn’t happen too often, and whenever she does this she makes sure she is alone. So don’t let her first impression deter you, Mila may act like a guy but she is still a girl, so don’t forget it. Along with her tom boy nature, Mila also has other quirks, such as tapping her feet or twitching her ears. These only come out when she is annoyed or nervous, but they do show up.
[Confident]
Mila is a very confident cheetah, in herself and in her tribe. She doesn’t leave room for doubt in her mind because it only makes things hard. If anyone would try to deter her from her confidence, or make her waver, Mila would just flat out ignore them, she doesn’t care much what others say. She does get quite annoyed when cheetahs can’t seem to see past her oddities or tom boy nature. Even then however she doesn’t let cheetahs thoughts deflate her, it’s their loss, not hers.
[Blunt]
Mila isn’t one to sugar coat things, she will tell you the truth flat out. There are times when she can be more considerate, such as when she is talking to a cub, but aside from that she doesn’t hesitate to say what is on her mind. This can lead to her getting into trouble or getting on cheetah’s nerves, but that doesn’t bug her. They would’ve heard her say it sooner or later so she might as well tell them right off the bat.
Negative Traits
-
[Temperamental]
Although Mila is a great cheetah to hang around, you need to be careful not to set her off. When she loses her temper, she really blows up in your face and it takes her quite a long time to cool down afterwards. The main triggers for her anger are when cheetahs disagree with her core beliefs. If someone even touches at something she believes in strongly then she will quickly start to lose control and unless you backpedal quickly then you are in for a storm.
[Sarcastic]
Mila is a very sarcastic cheetah, she practically lives and breathes sarcasm, though she is careful not to go overboard in professional situations or around younger cheetahs. But for the most part she uses sarcasm all the time, mostly to poke fun at others. Don’t worry though, it is all in good fun. If she actually hurt anyone’s feelings Mila would apologize, though she may also add in a quip about said cheetah needing to get some thicker skin.
[Impatient]
Mila needs to be moving. She doesn’t like to stay in place too long unless something is going on. If cheetahs are dilly-dallying she will quickly speak up or say something so they can get moving. This normally happens on patrol, or if someone invites her along to something. When she gets really impatient Mila will tap her foot and twitch her tail, and if nothing happens then she usually snaps and either stalks off to a tree or leaves with or without the other cheetahs.
History
Cross-Tribe Lovers
Nguvu was a strong and confident warrior in the Maisha tribe. He always did his best in everything that he did and he constantly offered to help his trabemates. In all he was a friendly, yet determined member of the tribe. The one thing that was missing from his life was someone to love. None of his family was in the tribe, as he had been raised as a loner and although he had friends he didn’t have anyone super close to him. But as hard as he looked and tried to find someone in his own tribe, no one seemed to fit the bill. Then one day he ran across Elekezi, a gatherer from the Kifo tribe. She was different from any other cheetah that he had ever met. Unlike most she-cats he knew, she was independent and had a fire inside of her that no one could stamp down. For Nguvu it was love at first sight, though it took Elekezi a while to feel the same. They started off just meeting occasionally, discussing whatever happened to be going on and just getting to know each other better. But after a few moons Elekezi started realizing she felt more for Nguvu than just friendship and so they became mates.
Fight for the Right
Things were good for a time, but then Elekezi found out she was expecting cubs. It was a happy time at first, but it didn’t last long. When the cubs were born, Nguvu told his mate that he had to take them to the Maisha tribe, as were the rules, but Elekezi didn’t want to give up her cubs. Thus a battle ensued. In the end Maisha got their cubs and brought them home, but the whole ordeal completely ruined the relationship between the star-crossed lovers. It broke Nguvu’s heart to be turned away by his mate and this ensued in him crying harder than he ever had before, thus giving him his tear marks. The tom named his older son Kikao, highlighting the fact that he felt like he was wondering alone without Elekezi, and he named his daughter Mila Kipa, as the fight for her and her brother where to ensure that tradition would be kept. Right after Mila and Kikao were restored to their rightful tribe an older apprentice by the name of Asuka watched out over them for a little while. This resulted in the two cubs looking up to him and becoming friends with him.
No Mom, No Prob
When Nguvu first told his children that their mother wasn’t in the tribe, Mila was hurt. She wanted a mom to look up to, to strive to be like, but her mother wasn’t in her tribe. Nguvu hated seeing his daughter in such a sad state, so he took her aside and told her that even though her mother couldn’t be around the he was there and he would do his best to help her in anything she went through. This cheered Mila up and soon she was her old happy self. As her and her brother grew up, Mila started mimicking her dad and brother more and more, and it felt natural to do so. Within a few moons she was acting more like a tom than a she-cat. When cats called her out on it she just shrugged them off, saying she didn’t see a problem in it and neither did her family, and so Mila grew into a tom boy.
Born to be a Fighter
When it was time to become an apprentice, most cheetahs said Mila should become a gatherer, as she was smaller than her brother and would probably be better suited to the task. But Mila would have nothing of that; she wanted to be like her dad and her brother. So she became a warrior apprentice to a tom by the name of Moto. He was a great mentor to the young cheetah, not commenting on her unfeminine like behavior, and treating her just as he would any apprentice. Under his guidance, and along with her keen learning ability, Mila flourished, and showed herself to be a great fighter. Her skills were put to the test when one day her patrol ran into a lion. Seeing the predator scared the older apprentice, but she didn’t back down and she fought alongside her tribemates until the beast ran away. Triumph filled her, and she knew that she had definitely picked the right profession.
Everything Goes My Way
Shortly after the lion attack, both Mila and Kikao where promoted to full time warriors. The siblings celebrated with their father and their tribe and now they both serve the Maisha tribe faithfully.

Kikao

“Me and my brother have always been close, though I suppose that is bound to happen when you only have one other siblings. We’ve had lots of fun times together as we have grown up and even now as warriors you can bet we are still as close as ever!”
Asuka
//
“Asuka helped take care of me and Kikao when we were cubs, I’m grateful to him for that. We’ve been casual friends ever since, though I have to admit I was surprised when he was made Diviner. He’s a great cheetah but he can be a little...childish at times, which mean even with his higher position I’m still going to poke fun at him. Call it a sign of my friendship.”

“I never knew my mom, but I’m not sure if I want to. She hurt my dad a lot and she wasn’t willing to give me and my brother up to keep with Maisha tradition, which resulted in fighting…Maybe I’d change my mind if I met her, but I’d honestly prefer to stay away from her and the Kifo tribe.”

RP Example
The day was cloudy and overcast, threatening to pour down rain at any moment, but so far there had not even been a single drop of precipitation, in fact it looked as if the clouds were starting to disperse a little bit. In the Sunning Rocks camp a dark grey tom sat on a rock, tail flicking back and forth as his eyes flicked to the sky and then back to the camp. He was restless, wanting to get out of camp but at the same time not wanting to get stuck out in the rain. After a few more minutes of contemplating he got to his paws and stretched each leg before trotting out of camp. He had already gone on a patrol at dawn and he had no other plans for the day so he figured it would be ok it he just took a walk for a bit. As soon as he was out of camp he took a deep breath of the cool air and smiled. Bounding forward Jasiri felt himself relax as he ran onward, his muscles loosening up with each stride. He raced onward, not paying much attention to where he was going. It felt as if only a few minutes had gone by, but as the sentry stopped and looked around he realized he was getting close to the border with Crooked Tree. With this realization the dark pelted tom smiled and bounded forward again until he reached the border. He knew it was silly to expect to see any of his friends but he couldn't help and at least check and see. As he looked around Jasiri couldn't help but ponder how much had changed from a few moons ago. In the past he would've been looking for Maisha....not that he wouldn't enjoy seeing the tan she-cat again but he felt himself wanting to see Imani more. The silver pelted huntress was one of his closest friends, she was one of the few cats he felt completely at ease around. Ok maybe not completely at ease, he was awkward in almost any circumstance, but he knew she wouldn't judge him for any of his quirks, and that was nice. As he looked around the dark tom didn't spot any cheetahs but his desire to talk with Imani subconsciously made him sit down. He could sit at the border for a few minutes right?
